Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Camping Alert (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Camping Alert monitors campsite availability on Recreation.gov and notifies you when a campsite matching your criteria becomes available. We do not guarantee the availability of any specific site or that you will secure a reservation.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to place automated reservations or scalp campsites for resale
  • Attempt to access the Service’s infrastructure beyond normal use
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

6. No Reservation Guarantee

Camping Alert provides notification of availability windows. We do not guarantee that a campsite will remain available between the time of notification and the time you attempt to book. Campsite reservations are subject to Recreation.gov’s terms and conditions.

7. Service Availability

We strive for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for missed notifications due to technical issues, third-party API outages, or scheduled maintenance.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Camping Alert shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including lost camping opportunities.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before deletion.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
