Be first. Every time a site opens up.

Free accounts scan every 60 minutes. Explorer and Backcountry accounts scan every 5 minutes — giving you a significant edge on the most competitive campgrounds.

We monitor 4,600+ campgrounds, including National Parks, National Forests, BLM land, and more. State park coverage is coming soon.

Free plans send email notifications. Explorer and Backcountry plans add SMS text alerts so you can act fast from anywhere — even without data.

Instead of watching for a single specific date range, Flexible Mode lets you describe what you're looking for in plain English — "any weekend in July" or "3 nights over Labor Day" — and we'll alert you whenever any matching window opens up. Available on Explorer and Backcountry plans.

Each combination of campground and date counts as one check. An alert watching 3 campgrounds over 4 weekends (8 nights) runs 24 checks per scan cycle. Your plan includes a cap to keep searches efficient — Free plans allow up to 10 checks per alert, Explorer up to 100, and Backcountry up to 500.

Yes. Paid Memberships Pro handles proration automatically — you'll only be charged for the remaining time in your billing period. Visit your account page to upgrade at any time.

We never delete your alerts automatically. If an alert uses features beyond your new plan (for example, a multi-campground alert after downgrading to Free), it'll be paused and flagged in your dashboard with options to upgrade again or simplify the alert.

Yes. Cancel your Explorer or Backcountry plan at any time from your account page. You'll retain access until the end of your billing period.

The free plan lets you set up 2 alerts with email notifications and 60-minute scans. No credit card required. Upgrade anytime to get SMS, faster scans, and more alerts.

Yes — Backcountry members can create as many alerts as they need across as many campgrounds as they want, with no additional charge.

When a site matching your criteria becomes available, we send you a notification immediately via your chosen channels (email and/or SMS). The notification includes a direct link to book the site before anyone else.

These badges show how likely a date is to open up due to a cancellation, based on historical booking patterns for that campground. 🔥 Hot means that date opens often, ☀️ Warm means moderate odds, 🌤 Cool means lower odds, and ❄️ Cold means cancellations are rare. You'll see these badges on campground listings, calendars, and in your alert confirmation to help you gauge your chances before you commit to a date.
